Ezequiel Panão Jorge
On the 5th December 1968, Ezequiel Panão Jorge started a small business on the 77th of Montarroio’s Street, in Coimbra, where he provided services of commercialization, assembly, repair and maintenance of Medical and Hospital material and equipments.
As such Electromédica was born, as a result of Ezequiel Panão´s deep knowledge of the Portuguese medical and hospital sector.
Endowed with substantial technical capacity, an innate talent for finances and an unique sensibility to deal with people, he turned a small business in Coimbra into a national and international scale Group.
Electromédica's History
Since its foundation, the Electromédica’s Group has followed a path based on a sustainable growth. The 90’s were decisive for the company’s consolidation and establishment as one of the key national players of the sector.
Ezequiel Panão Jorge starts a small business.
Official creation of the Group’s first company: Ezequiel Panão Jorge Lda.
Moving the head office to its current location.
Creation of EPJ Médica, Lda.
First certification (ISO 9001).
50th anniversary: rebranding of the Group, new website and refurbishment of the head office facilities.
Despite being marked by the death of its founder, 2018 was a year of great importance to the Group. As the company turned 50-years old, Electromédica´s brand and commercial space were totally renewed, and a new site with e-commerce was developed.
